BPS Sawahlunto Municipality Holds Training for September 2026 Susenas and Q3 Seruti Field Officers III Quarter of 2026

SAWAHLUNTO — Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of Sawahlunto Municipality conducted a training session for Field Officers of the September 2026 National Socioeconomic Survey (Susenas) and the Household Survey (Seruti) for the Third Quarter, on Wednesday (August 26), at Saka Ombilin Heritage Hotel, Sawahlunto. The training was held for three consecutive days, from August 26 to 28, 2026. The training was attended by 10 Field Enumeration Officers (PPL) and 5 Field Supervisors (PML), supported by the organizing committee from BPS of Sawahlunto Municipality.
The training began with a three-day online Self-Learning phase, held from August 23 to 25, 2026. Through this self-learning session, participants were required to watch instructional videos and study the Susenas Module Questionnaire Guidelines, Susenas KP, as well as basic Seruti materials. The session concluded with daily quizzes to assess the participants’ initial understanding of statistical concepts independently.
After the Self-Learning phase, the activity continued with three consecutive days of offline training. The training consisted of different agendas each day. The first day of training began with the official opening, which was directly led by the Head of BPS of Sawahlunto Municipality, Arieswaty, SST, followed by an organizing committee report delivered by Lyra Ornila, S.Stat, Head of the General Affairs Subdivision and member of the organizing committee. The session continued with a pretest, a presentation on the basic methodology of Susenas, and techniques for updating the household sample list. In this training, BPS of Sawahlunto Municipality assigned Elsa Kamelina, S.E., Junior Expert Statistician, as the instructor as well as field supervisor. On the first and second days, the training focused on materials related to Susenas 2026. The training concluded on the third day with the delivery of materials on Seruti 2026 and a discussion on data collection strategies.
With the completion of the training, all Field Enumeration Officers (PPL) were declared ready to conduct fieldwork and produce accurate, up-to-date, and high-quality data to support the formulation of development policies at both the regional and national levels.
